PMW Technology’s A3C process is highly specific in separating carbon dioxide from exhaust gases. As a result the carbon dioxide has exceptionally low levels of contaminants. This is important for any reuse of the carbon dioxide, whether for food applications where safety is paramount or for synthesis of new products such as fuels or chemical precursors where catalysts are vulnerable to poisoning by contaminants.

This important advantage of A3C can address an important challenge for the production of green methanol as a shipping fuel from green hydrogen and carbon dioxide. While hydrogen can be produced using renewable energy the supply of climate neutral carbon dioxide is more challenging. With the rapid growth in demand for green methanol as shipping companies strive to cut their carbon emissions this is becoming a pressing issue. PMW Technology has addressed this challenge and shown how A3C can help to resolve the ‘green carbon dioxide’ shortfall in this paper.
